I really like the work of Belgian artist Francis Alÿs. I especially like his paintings.I found a video with Alys discussing his work on the Tate website which is really interesting.

Painting in progress

Ive no idea where this painting is going. Ive decided to make it a diptych, both panels measuring 70x90cms each.

Chris Ofili... great video!

I love seeing artists at work in their studio...check it out!

New painting

I started a new painting yesterday..I'm at a bit of a cross roads when it comes to style .My work and my taste in art in general has changed alot over this past year. Although it has been a gradual process, when I compare my old work with my new stuff they seem worlds apart. Maybe this is a good thing! :)

David Schnell

I came across the german artist David Schnell today. His work uses perspective, color, and a sense of place.Schnell became fixated with long narrow sheds that played up his fascination with one-point perspectives. These sheds then devolved into abstract shapes that clashed with the flat scenes of nature surrounding them. I love his use of colour and his strong shapes.
